Field Trip: United Nations in NYC

Honors Global Communities cohort posing in front of a fountain.

On Friday, November 8, 2019 over 50 GC students and staff traveled to the United Nations Headquarters in New York City to tour the historical building meeting rooms and gifts, and engaged in a riveting conversation with Mr. Fabrice Houdart, Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights and former guest lecturer with Dr. Haufler's BSGC102 course - Global Issues. Students spent the remainder of the afternoon exploring the city before our evening commute back to College Park.
